Agreement reached between Argentina and Brazil to manufacture antimalarial drugs
Mundo Sano Foundation of Argentina, and Oswaldo Cruz (FIOCRUZ) Foundation of Brazil, reached an agreement that aims to manufacture drugs against malaria.
The agreement is aimed at large-scale production of drugs that are only developed with Southeast Asia supplies, such as artemisinin, traditionally extracted from a bush that grows only in China and one of the most promising precursors to antimalarials at present.
